Every business starts from a different place. These case studies show how we identify challenges, set priorities and
turn marketing strategy into practical action.
Industry: Retail · Household Essentials · Consumer Goods
Scope: Brand consultancy · Digital presence · Content strategy · Community engagement · Website development · In-store marketing
Eco Mart is a Malaysian retail chain offering affordable household essentials, snacks and lifestyle products.
Previously reliant on physical stores and word of mouth, it needed a digital presence that reflected its growing retail footprint.
Working closely with the founder, we clarified its brand direction, developed its online channels and connected marketing with neighbouring communities.
THE CHALLENGE
Eco Mart had a physical presence but no established social media presence. Customers needed more ways to discover the brand, find relevant information and stay connected between store visits.
The opportunity extended beyond promoting products. Eco Mart needed an ongoing way to engage local shoppers, encourage participation and give people reasons to return.
Social media, local communities, the website and in-store materials needed to support a consistent brand experience. Campaigns also required coordination across outlets and external vendors to turn ideas into practical activity.
We established and optimised social media channels and Google Business Profiles to improve discoverability. Through website development and ongoing maintenance, we also created an official destination for brand and store information, giving customers a clearer way to discover Eco Mart while considering the business’s future e-commerce needs.
We developed a content strategy supported by organic campaigns, contests, giveaways and partnerships to encourage customer participation. Local WhatsApp community groups provided a more direct way to share updates and engage neighbourhood audiences, helping Eco Mart stay connected with customers beyond their visits to its stores.
We extended campaign messaging into stores through posters, promotional standees, cashier screens and noticeboards. By aligning these materials with digital content, we created a more consistent experience across touchpoints, helping shoppers recognise promotions and connect what they saw online with what they encountered in-store.
Building A Connected Community
In collaboration with the client, we planned and executed Eco Mart Run and a charity donation initiative. The activities brought together local residents, suppliers and a neighbourhood care home, connecting community participation with meaningful giving and creating opportunities for Eco Mart to build relationships beyond everyday retail transactions.
Hosted an accessible neighbourhood 5km run to connect with residents beyond the store.
Engaged suppliers to support the experience through sponsored refreshments and goodie bags.
Connected participation with donations of daily essentials to a local elderly care home.
An established customer base is a valuable starting point. A clearer marketing strategy can help you build on it, connecting your brand, channels and customer experience as your business grows.
